Good things are happening to our border area along the Tijuana River. Many people are helping to clean up the area, and this is good. We have to be able to thank so many people's efforts to clean the Tijuana River area on both sides of the border. The Tijuana government has been cleaning the aqueduct to prevent trash from coming into San Diego when it rains. I'm sure we will see much cleaner beaches along our coast. As you drive along Monument Road on the US side you see equipment cleaning the roads, and local governments are having meetings for cleaning projects in the area. Even the Port of San Diego is pushing projects of improvements in this most southwesterly area of the United States. It looks like the sewage problem will be cleaned up too in the near future. Mexico has found ways of taking care of that problem with new sewage water treatment plants coming on line soon. This cleaning will help in tourist returns and property value. A word to the wise, beach property value will improve with all this cleaning on both sides of the border. I think that from Imperial Beach to Coronado (US side) and from Tijuana to Rosarito (Mexico Side) good things are coming for future. Let's keep hope alive, what do you think?

We have had a problem for many years with water pollution coming into the United States from Mexico on the Tijuana River. Raw sewage is also coming from a aqueduct about 5 miles north of Rosarito, Mexico. Sometimes when it rains our beaches are closed for swimming along our coast from Imperial Beach all the way up to the City of Coronado. Let's not talk about the fish or the other living things like birds or the clams along the beach; we eat them. The good news is that Mexico and the United States have been working on this major problem and some improvements are happening along our rivers and our beaches in Mexico and the US. Some members of congress like Brian Bilbray, who was mayor of Imperial Beach, Duncan Hunter Sr., Bob Filner and all the way up to Al Gore and Dick Cheney have put lots of pressure on Mexico to clean up the complicated, troubling situation. Sometimes things have not gone the way they were supposed to go, that's for sure, but they did try and you can see and smell the difference to our beaches. Especially in Imperial Beach I think, where in 1988 I got very sick surfing at the beach. It changed my life and health; I suffer pain each day of my life from just surfing at the beach.

Most people do not know or do not care that San Diego in the past has also put raw sewage into the sea and bays coming from rain run off, so we need to do some work on this side of the border too. I'm being nice to you San Diego; let's work on it, okay? The organization called "WiLDCOAST" is always trying to work out something to clean up things, I always seem to find them out there doing something along the Tijuana River: picking up trash, making movies, or something. They have had some problems for pushing people to fix things in the past, but I think they are good people as far as I can tell. We also need to thank the hard working people on the Mexican side of the border to who have also been trying to fix the sewage problem in Mexico; it is a little harder working over there than here. I know some of you in other countries around the world are saying "You think you got a problem, come look at this!" I know, you fix your own problems too, I am trying to fix my own; this is our world, only we can fix it. By the way, I'm not an environmental wacko, I am just a christian person, like most of you, whatever faith you are, taking care of my earth where I live. By the way, I do go out there and pick up trash with my family by hand and bags with other people. What do you think?

Today I think that I will do something for the future of my world and it can start it in my own house. I plan now to speak each day to my children of how great it is to be alive and to find good things in life. I plan to find ways to teach my children to become leaders in government, to surround them with constructive positive attitude people that can lead them in that direction. Each of us that cares for our governments and our way of life should teach our children to become leaders, or do you like the way other people are teaching your future leaders of your nations? We are at fault as humanity for allowing a gradual decay of our nation's society. The rearing of good leaders of nations happens when the family gives good wholesome values at home and leads them to good people who care for others like you do. Lets face it, the world is in your children's hands. Are you doing the right thing?

We have not been writing much, not because things are not happening that are good or bad but sometimes you just feel that we are so far out of control now that it feel like their is no hope and you just get burned out. In the area of San Diego that I live in many people are having such a hard time making money or just keeping their jobs. Most of us wonder of all the high school grads and college grads where are they going to find jobs? I have friends that make a living selling used cars to Mexico, they tell me that they cannot make a living at this anymore, sales are not happening anymore in Mexico, permits in  Mexico to sell the cars or trucks have gone up so high that people are just are not buying any more cars from the United States. New car sales in  Mexico are as bad as the US, some car making plants have shut down, they were the ones giving life to some cities in Mexico, not anymore, now you have lots of unemployment all over the place, remember no unemployment money in Mexico, what do you do? Somehow this will pass but I think it is going to take a long time, more than a few years that's for sure. You can feel the unrest on both sides of the border, you see it in the store parking lots, the signs that read For Rent, For Sale outside the shops on the main streets of our towns in the United States and Mexico. All kinds of programs are coming about from the governments on both sides of the border. Governments are not collecting the tax money like in years past so they are putting more tax on us now, how is that going to help us, they should be bringing taxes down not up right? Soon Christmas will be here, is the money going to be here for buying things? Are we going to fly or drive to our families, are we going to buy our foods on the roads or make them to save money, we have got lots of changes coming do we not? What do you think?

This morning I was thinking of all that might be happening to this country and, in fact, the whole world, the grand plan of making us completely satisfied with losing our freedoms as a human race. In my point of view we are put on this world to be free to find the right path, to choose the path that will bring us back to our creator, but as you know, most of us are falling away to other forms of governments that ultimately take away our center of life, the will, our freedom of thinking, feelings, all of that that survives death. This country was founded by good people from the start, some of us are trying to sound the alarm that freedom is being taken from us. How many of us have felt that we would like to move away from this country to a far away land on an island country or something to find a people that is not so in need of all that stuff like cell phones, big homes that we cannot pay for, a $40,000 car? Many years ago I lived with a people who you would think of as poor, living in mud home, a wood stove, no electric power and water coming from a well. The fact was they were happy the way they were living. All their family was close by, in fact when they got married they would just point to where they were going to put their home, they had lots of love and the family was there to help them as they got older. How many of you would like to know that you will not be alone in your later years? I have small children and I can tell you I hope to always have them around me, they are a lot more important to me than a new car or a big house. The good thing is that in this county we can have it all: the family, the electric power and the cell phone, just do not go beyond your money supply and do not push your family away, love them and give them their freedom to think for themselves and let them find there own path of life. That's what it's all about anyways, to choose the right as a human, what do you think?

I was told this afternoon to read a letter that was written to Glenn Beck by a fifty something year old woman, Janet Contreras from I think AZ. She talked about being a American that lost her party line, like I have. She is right, I think, we got to stand up to all the people in office and tell them that we are not going to stand for things that are not American Laws from many years past at the beginning of this country. Lots of thing are being passed without really being looked at. We need to take control of things, even if it's hard to try. I hope you read this and let me know what you think.
